LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a market-based rating system that facilitates and certifies the higher energy and environmental performance of buildings and communities. The mission of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) is “to accelerate the design and construction of green buildings in Canada.
They are a broad-based, inclusive coalition of representatives from different segments of the design and building industry whose vision is “a transformed built environment leading to a sustainable future”.
The prerequisites and credits are organized in the following principal categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental, Quality, Innovation and Design Process.\
Atlas, as a member of Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), has been involved in many LEED projects encompassing the Educational, Municipal, Recreational and Commercial categories. We employ LEED Accredited Professionals who are experienced with all aspects of LEED requirements from design to construction processes.
The management of Atlas is dedicated to promoting environmental protection initiatives at our head office and on every project site. Our mission is to participate in improving our environment in order to create a sustainable future for ourselves and our children.
